Deleting an appointment that has a deposit paid on it opens a dialog. It asks what to do with the deposit: Refund Deposit or Keep for Future Use.
- Open the appointment and click Delete.
- Choose Delete this booking only (or Delete for the whole series on a repeating booking).
- Choose Refund Deposit or Keep for Future Use in the dialog that appears.
Refund Deposit
Sends the money back to the client's original payment method. Confirm the delete, then click Refund at POS. You're taken to POS to click Refund Payment, with the original payment method already selected. Click Finish Refund to complete it.
Keep for Future Use
Deletes the booking but leaves the deposit sitting on the client's file, just like any other unused deposit. It still shows on their Client Card and can be applied to a future sale, or refunded later.
For the full steps on taking and cancelling deposits, see How to Setup Deposits for POS. For refunding a deposit later, see How to Refund a Deposit.
