Introduction to the Dome: Navigating to Locations and Sharing Items

So, you have your new Dome. Now what? Grab your Dome login details and log in. It looks a little different to what you see when you log in to a single location.

Going from the Dome to a location and back to the Dome

The Dome is the top level. To go down into a location, you Browse it.

  1. Select Dome in the left menu.
  2. In the Quick Visit List, select Browse next to the location.

You can also select Switch location at the bottom of the left menu, then pick a location from the list. The button at the top right with your Dome name opens the same list.

This view is the same as if you logged in to the location directly. Only people who need the Dome log in this way. Other staff log in to the location they work at.

To go back up to the Dome, select Switch location and choose your Dome name.

Adding services, products and more in the Dome Admin area

In a Dome, you add all services, products, operators, vouchers and packages in the Dome Admin area. Then you share them with any or all of your locations. You can't add anything to a location without first adding it to the Dome.

Select Admin in the left menu. Then choose a tab, such as Products, Operators or Services.

  • Products: select New to create a brand. Select the brand name, then New on the products side to add a product. Fill in the details on the right and select Save.
  • Operators: select New, fill in the operator details on the right, then select Save.
  • Services: create the service category first, then the services in it. Select Save each time.

Sharing items into location accounts

Once your items are in the Dome, share them with your locations.

  1. In Admin, find the item. For products, that is the brand.
  2. Select the Sharing link next to it.
  3. Tick all the locations, or just some.
  4. Select Save.

You can share a whole brand range, or share products one by one. The ticks in the dialog don't show what is already shared, so tick every location you want.

Now Browse into a location and open its Admin area. The shared items are all there.

The two key things to remember are these. You can log in to the Dome and browse into any location. And you add every item to the Dome first, then share it down with the Sharing links.
