Show or Hide a Payment Type at POS

Every payment type in Simple Salon has a few settings that control how it behaves at the till. Here's what each one does.

Finding your payment types

Go to Admin, then Lists, and choose Payment Methods from the dropdown.

Need to add a brand new payment type first? See Creating Custom Payment Method Types.

Showing or hiding a payment type at POS

  1. Click Edit next to the payment type.
  2. Tick or untick Show on POS.
  3. Click Save.

Untick Show on POS to take a payment type off the till without deleting it. Turn it back on any time and your past sales stay exactly as they were.

Other settings on a payment type

Two more settings are worth knowing about:

  • End-Of-Day: choose whether this payment type is counted in your End of Day process.
  • Process as Voucher: tick this for a payment type that's really a gift voucher redemption, so it's reported correctly.
