With the Dome, you can transfer stock between locations. The Dome acts like a warehouse with its own stock quantities. You transfer products from the warehouse to any location, and the quantities update to match.
Transferring Stock in Dome
Log in to your Dome and select Ordering in the left menu. You'll see New Order and New Transfer.
New Order lets you order from your supplier directly into the Dome (the warehouse). If products are delivered straight to your salons, use the Ordering page in the location instead.
New Transfer moves stock from one location to another. It can also go from the Dome (warehouse) to a location, or from a location back to the Dome.
- Select New Transfer. The Order Details form opens.
- In the Summary, use the Transfer From and Transfer To drop-downs to pick the locations. By default, Transfer From is the Dome.
- Select the + button to add a product. Choose the brand, product and quantity, then add it. The current quantity at the Transfer From location shows, so you know how many you can send.
- Keep adding products until they are all in the transfer form.
- Select Save & Order.
Now pack the products at the Transfer From location. Once they have been sent, select Fill next to the transfer, then Save & Fill in the transfer form. This tells Simple Salon the products have left, and the quantities are deducted.
The products are now in transit. When they arrive, switch to the Transfer To location and go to its Ordering page. Select Receive next to the transfer, then Save & Receive. The quantities are added to the product totals.
The light next to the transfer turns green in every location. That means the transfer is complete at both ends.
If you have a warehouse that sends stock to your salons, set your Dome product quantities (in Dome Admin) to match what's in the warehouse. Then transfer from the Dome to any location. The Dome quantity goes down and the location's goes up.
