As you've noticed, your appointment book is designed for 15-minute intervals. This means that your services are in multiples of 15 minutes i.e. 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes etc.
Perhaps 10-minute intervals suit your salon better?
That's completely fine. The Simple Salon tech support team can change your appointment intervals from 15 minutes to 10 minutes.
When the change is made, it will mean that all of your services will then be in multiples of 10 minutes i.e. 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes, 40 minutes, 50 minutes etc.
What happens to my existing appointments if I change from 15-minute intervals to 10-minute intervals?
Appointment start times, which are at quarter past or quarter to the hour, are moved by 5 minutes.
Here's how it works—appointments booked at 11.15 and 11.45 are moved by 5 minutes, becoming 11.10 and 11.40, and they also become 10 minutes in duration, instead of 15 minutes in duration.
What if I want to go back to 15 minute intervals?
This is possible, however first Tech Support will need to change your appointment book to 5 minute intervals.
You will then need to shift all future appointments into a 15 minute slot, i.e. they need to be shifted to intervals of xx:00, xx:15, xx:30, and xx:45 slots before we can proceed.
The following article will show you what you will need to do once we change your intervals to 5 minutes:
Changing from 5 Minute Intervals to 15 Minute Intervals
What will happen to my past appointments if I go from 10 minutes back to 15 minute intervals?
If you don't move them to align up with 15 minute slots yourself, then the ones that aren't on xx:00, xx:15, xx:30 and xx:45 marks will disappear from the appointment page when you go back to 15 minute intervals. However the appointments will still be listed in each client's visit list/transactions and reports.
