Overview
If you'd like clients to carry their own loyalty card, you can link a barcode to their profile and scan it to bring up their card at the desk. Simple Salon doesn't sell the cards themselves, so pick up plain barcoded cards from an office supplies shop first.
Linking a barcode to a client
- Search for the client and open their Client Card.
- Hit Edit client.
- Scroll to the Barcode/Member No field and scan the card, or type its number in.
- Hit Save.
Looking up a client by barcode
Once a card is linked, scan it into the Search clients box the same way you'd type a name. A barcode scanner works like a keyboard, so it fills the search box and brings up that client straight away.
Once their Client Card is open, their loyalty points balance sits in the green Loyalty points pill at the top of the card.
