From a finished appointment to a completed sale, in a few clicks.
POS in the new look Simple Salon takes everything from the diary and turns it into a clean, single-page checkout. The client’s services come across automatically, you just add anything extra, take payment, and you’re done. Here’s the flow, end-to-end.
1. Send the appointment to POS
On the Appointments page, click the appointment for the client you’re checking out. The Visit Details panel opens with everything you need at a glance: services, operator, time, price.
Hit Add to sale. The client and all of their appointments for the day are sent to POS, even if their services were spread across multiple operators.
Quick check. See a yellow alert icon next to the client’s name? That’s a heads-up about a client note, alert, or outstanding balance, open the client card before you take payment. You can also re-open this view to flag the visit (Arrived, Confirmed, No Show, VIP) without leaving the diary.
2. Build the sale
You land on the POS page. The client and their services are already in the cart on the right. Need to add anything else? Use the tabs across the top: Services, Products, Vouchers, or Variable Voucher, then click the tile to drop it onto the sale.
You can stack on a sale:
- Service or Product, anything from your menu.
- Gift Voucher, sell a voucher in the same transaction.
- Account credit, top up an existing client account.
- Future Service, pre-pay something the client’s coming back for.
- Membership or Package, bundle deals in a single click.
Need to apply a deal? Use the Promo Code or Discount pills at the bottom of the cart. Taking a deposit instead of a full payment? Hit Take Deposit.
3. Receive payment
When the cart is right, hit Receive Payment. The payment screen takes over with a clear sale summary on the left and your payment tiles on the right.
Tap the payment tile that suits: Cash, Eftpos, Account, Voucher, and any other types you’ve set up. Splitting between methods? Just tap a second tile and the system tracks each amount until the balance is zero.
When the amount is in, hit Finish Sale. The receipt prints, the drawer pings, and you’re moving on with your day.
4. Done, and visible at a glance
Back on the diary, the appointment turns grey. Your at-a-glance signal that this client is sorted for the day. The unpaid appointments stay coloured so you always know who’s next at the till.
Need to fix a sale or refund? Open the POS page and switch to the Refund or Transactions tab in the top-right of the cart. Transactions shows you every sale of the day so you can re-print a receipt or look up an amount in seconds.
A few extras worth knowing
- Walk-ins. Don’t have a booking? Open POS straight from the sidebar and the cart starts as Walk-In. Add a client (or leave it as a walk-in), pick services, take payment.
- Multiple operators on one sale. If a client saw two stylists, all of their services from the day come across in a single cart, you only checkout once.
- Open Drawer. Need to pop the till for change? The Open Drawer button does exactly that, no sale required.
- Saved sales. Get interrupted mid-checkout? Hit Save to park the sale and come back to it later.
Tip: make POS feel like yours. add images to your appointments and products to make them stand out at POS.
