Overview
Simple Salon tracks two types of client financial balances - account credits and deposit transactions. Both are accessible from the Actions menu on the Client Card.
Viewing Account Transactions
To view credits that have been added to or used from a client's account:
- Open the client's Client Card.
- Click Actions ▼ in the top-right corner.
- Click the coins icon showing the client's account balance (e.g. "$0.00").
- The Account Transactions popup will appear showing all credits added and payments made against their account.
Viewing Deposit Transactions
To view deposits taken from the client (e.g. online booking deposits):
- Open the client's Client Card.
- Click Actions ▼ in the top-right corner.
- Click the money icon showing the deposit balance (e.g. "$0.00") - this is the second dollar amount in the menu, below the coins icon.
- The popup will show two sections: Outstanding Deposit Transactions (deposits not yet applied to a sale) and All Deposit Transactions (complete deposit history).
Adding Credit to a Client's Account
To add credit to a client's account, use the Add to Account feature in POS. See the Add to Account - Credits, Laybys and Prepayments article for full instructions.
Clearing a Client's Account Balance
If a client has an outstanding balance (either owing or in credit) that needs to be cleared:
- Go to POS.
- Add the client to the sale.
- Process the adjustment through the normal POS payment flow.
