The Activity Report tracks every action taken in your Simple Salon account, including log-ins, appointment changes, deletions, and system events. Use this report to audit staff activity, investigate issues, or keep a record of who changed what and when.
How to Access
Navigate to Reporting from the main menu, then select Activity Report from the report list.
Filters
| Filter | Description |

| From / To | Set the date range for the report. |
| User | Filter by a specific user account (e.g. administrator, staff member). |
| Category | Filter by the area of the system the action relates to. Options include: Account, API, Appointment, Brand, Campaign, Client, Client Membership, Client Product, Company, Discount Type, End of Day, Membership, Online, Operator, Product, Reporting, Resource, Roster, Security Settings, SMS Settings, Third Party Add Ons, Transaction, Visit Type, and Xero. |
| Type | Filter by the type of action. Options include: Add, Delete, Dome Log In, Error, Get, iPhone Log In, Log In, PIN Log In, Share, Start, Stop, Unshare, Update, and View. |
Report Columns
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Date | The date the action occurred. |
| Time | The time the action occurred. |
| Type | The type of action (e.g. Log In, Update, Delete). |
| Category | The system area affected (e.g. Appointment, Client, Transaction). |
| User | The user account that performed the action. |
| Description | A detailed description of what was done, including specifics like client names, appointment details, or report parameters. |
| IP Address | The IP address from which the action was performed. |

How to Use
- Navigate to Reporting and select Activity Report.
- Set the From and To dates for the period you want to review.
- Optionally filter by User, Category, or Type to narrow the results.
- Click Go to generate the report.
- Review the activity log. Use the page numbers at the bottom to navigate through multiple pages of results.
Common Uses

| Investigating deleted appointments | filter by Category: Appointment and Type: Delete to see who deleted which appointments and when. |
| Tracking log-ins | filter by Type: Log In to see when each staff member last accessed the system and from which IP address. |
| Auditing price changes | filter by Category: Visit Type and Type: Update to see when services were modified. |
| Monitoring errors | filter by Type: Error to identify any system issues. |
Example Scenario
A client calls to say their appointment has disappeared. You open the Activity Report, set the date range to the past week, filter by Category: Appointment and Type: Delete, and search for the client's name in the Description column. The report shows that a staff member deleted the appointment two days ago at 3:15 PM, giving you the information you need to resolve the situation.
