The Summary Report provides a high-level daily snapshot of your salon's performance, showing key metrics like total revenue, client counts, average spend, and payment breakdowns for each day in the selected period. It is the quickest way to see how your business is tracking day by day.
How to Access
Navigate to Reporting from the main menu, then select Summary Report from the report list.
Note: The Summary Report opens in a new pop-up window. If you do not see it, check that your browser is set to allow pop-ups from Simple Salon.

Why is the Summary Report Showing $0?
If the Summary Report shows $0 or no data, check the following:
- Date range - make sure the From and To dates cover a period where transactions actually occurred.
- Open appointments - the Summary Report only includes paid (closed) transactions. If appointments are still marked as Open, they will not appear. Close them through the POS to have them reflected in the report.
- End of Day - some salons use the End of Day process. If transactions have not been finalised through End of Day, they may not appear in the Summary Report depending on your settings.
Example Scenario
You want a quick overview of how last week went. Set the date range to Monday through Sunday of last week. The Summary Report shows each day's revenue, client count, and average spend. You can immediately see which days were strongest and compare payment method breakdowns. Export as CSV to track weekly trends in a spreadsheet over time.
