Using Stripe for Credit Card Payments in POS (Legacy)

When you are connected to Stripe, you can take payments directly within POS.

To set this up, first connect your Simple Salon account to your Stripe account with the steps in Connecting Simple Salon to Stripe for POS Payments.

Turning on Stripe in POS

  1. Click the profile icon at the bottom left of the left main menu and choose Settings.
  2. In the Cash Register (POS) section, set POS Payment Gateway to Stripe (Credit Card).
  3. Click Save at the top right.

Now you're ready to use Stripe for credit card payments in POS.

Using Stripe in POS

  1. Add the client to POS, along with the items they wish to pay for.
  2. Click Receive Payment, choose the Credit Card payment type and click Finish Sale.
  3. Enter the client's credit card details, then click Pay Now.

The transaction will process and the sale will finish as normal.

In the Transactions tab in POS, or your Transaction Report, the transaction is recorded as a Stripe Gateway payment type.
