Overview
Simple Salon can automatically send SMS confirmation messages to clients before their appointments. This helps reduce no-shows and keeps your schedule running smoothly.
Setting Up SMS Confirmations
- Go to Admin and click the SMS & Email tab.
- Under the Confirmations section, enable the confirmation option.
- Set the timing for when confirmations are sent (e.g. 24 hours before the appointment, 48 hours before).
- Customise the confirmation message template if needed. The default template includes the client's name, appointment date, time, and services booked.
- Click Save.
How Confirmations Work
- Confirmations are sent automatically based on the timing you set.
- Clients can reply to confirm their appointment. Confirmed appointments are flagged in the appointment book.
- You can view the confirmation status of each appointment in the appointment details.
SMS Credits
Each confirmation uses one SMS credit. Make sure you have enough SMS credits in your account. You can check your balance and purchase credits in Admin > SMS & Email.
Tips
- Sending confirmations 24-48 hours before the appointment gives clients enough time to cancel or reschedule if needed.
- You can turn off confirmations for specific appointment types if required.
- Check the SMS Transaction Report in Reporting to monitor your SMS usage.
