Your appointment book's intervals control how many slots are available each hour, and where appointments are allowed to start. The default is 15 minutes, which gives you the most flexibility with start times and service duration.
Changing intervals to 1 hour means there's only one slot per hour, so a 1-hour service can only start on the hour, never on a half hour.
Your Opening Hours need to match your intervals. For example, with 15-minute intervals you can open at 9:15, with 30-minute intervals you can open at 9:30, and so on.
There's no self-service setting for this, changing your intervals affects every future booking, so it needs to go through Simple Salon support. Here's how it works:
- Contact Simple Salon support and let us know what interval you'd like (for example, 30 minutes or 1 hour).
- We'll check your future appointments for any that don't line up with the new interval. For 1-hour intervals, every appointment needs to start on the hour and be at least 1 hour long. For 30-minute intervals, appointments need to start on the hour or half hour and be at least 30 minutes long.
- If any appointments don't line up, you'll need to move them so they do, this includes any lunch breaks in your roster.
- Once everything lines up, let us know and we'll make the change for you.
Tip: to check your future appointments against the new interval, run the Appointments Report from now until the end of the year and look for any that don't fit.
