Adding Online Bookings to Your Joomla Website

Overview

You can add Simple Salon online bookings to your Joomla website two ways: embed a booking iframe inside an article, or add a menu link that opens your booking page.

Finding Your Booking Link

  1. In Simple Salon, go to Online and click the Admin tab.
  2. Under General Settings, find Booking Site URL & Code.
  3. Copy the Online Booking URL, or the ready-made Embed Code if you just want to paste an iframe straight in.

Option 1: Embed in an Article

  1. In your Joomla admin, go to Content > Articles and create or edit an article.
  2. Switch the editor to source or code view (click the Toggle Editor button or the Source Code icon).
  3. Paste the code below, swapping in your own booking URL.

  1. Save the article.

Tip: some Joomla text editors strip iframe code when you save. If that happens, switch to a code-friendly editor like CodeMirror under System > Global Configuration > Default Editor.

Option 2: External URL Menu Item

  1. Go to Menus > Main Menu (or whichever menu you use).
  2. Click New to add a menu item.
  3. Set the Menu Item Type to System Links > External URL.
  4. Paste your booking URL in the Link field.
  5. Give it a title, such as "Book Online".
  6. Save the menu item.
