Every Simple Salon customer gets their own Online Booking mini-site. This Online Booking platform can be easily added into your existing website!
You have the option to link your 'Online Booking URL' to a button on your website (e.g. a Book Now or Book Online button), otherwise you can embed it directly into a page on your website.
To locate either your Online Booking URL or Embed Code, go to the Online menu option in your Simple Salon account.
Then go to the Admin tab.
Expand General Settings and under the BOOKING SITE URL & CODE section you'll see the two options:
If you don't have a website that's no problem, you can still link your Online Booking URL to your Instagram or Facebook business page for example. Click here to learn how to add your Booking URL to Instagram. Or click here to learn how to add your Booking URL to Facebook.
Online Booking URL
This is the easiest way to get your Online Booking site onto your website or social media page, as it's already built for you (and is built to be mobile friendly without any tinkering from your end).
All you'll need to do is copy your Online Booking URL from your Simple Salon account (as per the first screenshot). Then you'll link it to a button on your website, for example in the 'Header'.
Example:
In this example we'll show you in the 'Wix' website editor how you can use your Online Booking URL, so when a 'Book Now' button is clicked it goes directly to your booking site.
This process will be similar no matter which website builder you're using (as it will still involve copying your Online Booking URL, and simply linking it to a button).
In this screenshot, we've created a Button labelled "Book Now", and we have added it to our Header:
With this Button, we can 'Link' it to a Web Address - this is where we will be pasting the Online Booking URL:
Now that we've linked the Online Booking URL to the Book Now button and saved the changes, we can preview the website:
Clicking on the Book Now button will now take us directly to our Online Booking site that we've just linked:
This is what it will look like if a customer were to access our Online Booking URL from their mobile phone:
If you're unsure of how to add a button to your website, you'll be able to search for documentation on your particular website builder's support website. For example:
Add a button to Wordpress: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/buttons-block/
Add a button to Squarespace: https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000293128-Adding-buttons-to-your-site
Add a button to Wix: https://support.wix.com/en/article/wix-editor-adding-and-setting-up-a-text-icon-button
Otherwise if someone has built your website for you, it would be best to consult with them as they will be able to add your Online Booking URL to a call to action button on your website with minimal effort!
Embed Code
Note for "Embed Code": Due to a recent unforeseen change - the Google, Facebook and Apple logins aren't currently functioning when embedded directly into a page on a website. Our team are working on a fix for this issue. In the meantime, the best option is to use the Online Booking URL instead, and link it to a button on your website, e.g. a Book Now button.
Rather than being taken to your Online Booking site in another tab, using the Embed Code allows you to add your Online Booking site directly into a page within your website.
If you don't know how to add the Embed Code into your website, it's best to contact your website developer or website host.
If you're having issues embedding code or you do not have a website developer - we'd recommend adding the Online Booking URL directly to a button on your website or social media page. This allows you to take Online Bookings as soon as it's linked, and you won't need to worry about how it will display on a mobile phone, as it's already optimised for you when using the URL!
