The SMS Transaction Report tracks every SMS credit transaction in your Simple Salon account, including purchases, usage, refunds, and plan changes. Use this report to monitor your SMS spending, verify credit balances, and keep track of how your messaging credits are being used.
How to Access
Navigate to Reporting from the main menu, then select SMS Transaction Report from the report list.
Filters
| Filter | Description |

| From / To | Set the date range for the report. |
| Type | Filter by transaction type. Options: |
| All (except Use) | show purchases, refunds, and plan changes but exclude individual message sends (useful for seeing only credit movements) |
| Use | show only individual SMS messages sent |
| Purchase | show only credit purchases |
| Refund | show only credit refunds |
| Transfer In | credits transferred into this account |
| Transfer Out | credits transferred out of this account |
| Plan change (reduction) | credit adjustments from plan downgrades |
| Plan change (addition) | credit additions from plan upgrades |
| Plan inclusion | credits included with your messaging plan |
Report Columns
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Date | The date of the transaction. |
| Type | The transaction type (Use, Purchase, Refund, etc.). |
| User | The user account that performed the action. |
| Description | Details about the transaction (e.g. the recipient's name for a Use transaction, or the number of credits purchased). |
| Credits | The number of credits used or added (negative for usage, positive for purchases). |
| Balance | The running credit balance after this transaction. |

How to Use
- Navigate to Reporting and select SMS Transaction Report.
- Set the From and To dates.
- Use the Type filter to focus on specific transaction types.
- Optionally filter by User to see transactions triggered by a specific account.
- Click Go to generate the report.
- Review the transactions and running balance.
Checking Your Credit Usage
To see how many SMS credits you are using per month:
- Set the date range to the past month.
- Filter Type to Use.
- The report shows every individual SMS sent and the credits consumed. The total at the bottom gives your monthly usage.
Example Scenario
Your SMS credit balance seems lower than expected. Run the SMS Transaction Report for the past month with Type set to All. Review the transactions to see whether there was an unusually high volume of automated messages (appointment reminders, marketing messages) or whether a large batch SMS was sent from the Marketing section. The running Balance column helps you trace exactly where credits were consumed.
