Clients love to book online—it's super convenient for them. When clients book online, it means more appointments for you.
Your 1-Touch Marketing New Client Message is designed to automatically send new clients a welcome message after you add them. So, to promote your online booking mini-site, let's add your salon’s unique online booking URL to the New Client Message to let clients know they can now book online.
Adding your Online Booking URL to the New Client Welcome message
Go to Admin, then to the Lists tab.
From the Select Lists drop-down menu choose SMS & Email Templates.
Click through the template pages until you locate the Default SMS New Client Welcome Message.
Click Copy in the Default SMS New Client Welcome Message row.
You'll see the backend of the message template.
You want to change the wording so that the message invites your new clients to use your online bookings site.
Click in the Message box and change the text to something like this:
Hi #ClientFirstName#, welcome to #CompanyName#.
Book your next apt online via #onlineurl# :)
You can add your Online Booking URL to the message by using the Add Tag drop-down menu. The URL tag will display as #onlineurl#. When this tag is in the message, the system will automatically add your salon's unique Online Booking URL to the actual SMS when it sends. You can also locate your Online Booking URL by going to Online, then to the Admin tab.
NOTE: Keep the SMS message below 160 characters. Keep in mind that the URL will add extra characters once it's inserted into the text.
Next, change the Template Name so you can easily find this new template in the template list.
Feel free to send your mobile number a preview. Then, when you're ready, click Save.
Select your new template as the one that gets sent to new clients
Go to Admin, then to the SMS & Email tab.
Under the 1-Touch Marketing section, Edit the New Client Message.
On the right side panel, tick SMS Enabled.
Enter the number of days after the new client is added that you want the system to send the message.
Drop down the SMS Template menu and choose the template you just created, then click Save.
Now your Simple Salon will automatically send all new clients, as you add them, an SMS promoting your online bookings site.
Send Online Booking URL to new clients via email
If you'd also like to send the Online Booking URL via email to all new clients as they get added, simply follow the steps in this article, but instead, just choose the Default Email New Client Welcome template to copy and edit.
